WHAT IS YOGA AND WHAT BENEFIT DOES ITS PRACTICE BRING?

yoga

Yoga is a discipline that seeks the union between body and mind. It does not consist only of doing some postures, it is rather a lifestyle to heal, care for and strengthen body and mind. And all this through asanas (postures), breathing and meditation.

It has been practiced for thousands of years, has its origins in India, and over the years people have been focusing on performing asanas. But in order to have a complete experience and to benefit from their full potential, we recommend doing everything else.

There are many types of yoga, the most practiced in the West is Hatha yoga which is very dynamic and focuses on asanas, breathing and purification of the spirit, but people usually only do the asanas to improve their physical condition.

The more spiritual types of yoga such as Kundalini Yoga or Bikram Yoga (which is practiced in a warm room) are also well known.

One of the advantages of yoga is that everyone can practice this ancient discipline. There are different levels of difficulty, from beginners to advanced, so each person will find the level that suits his or her physical condition and will be able to practice it, improve it and go up a level.

The yoga classes usually last an hour or an hour and a half. They consist of a warm-up, to prepare the body, the performance of the asanas or posture, relaxation and meditation.
